Since making his debut, MS Dhoni has rarely given fans a reason to question his talent, wicketkeeping brilliance, or captaincy tactics. But his communication skills via phone have grabbed attention, but for the wrong reason.
Over the years, his teammates have complained that reaching Dhoni is harder than surviving a last-over thriller, mostly because he rarely carries a phone. But in Arjun Tendulkar’s wedding, fans remained in shock as Thala was seen carrying a phone with him.

The wicketkeeper-batters have built a remarkable legacy in Indian cricket, with MS Dhoni proudly standing at the forefront. After stepping into the cricketing arena, he left no scope for making India proud. From winning the ODI World Cup to the maiden T20 World Cup triumph, the nation enjoyed some of the best moments under his leadership.
There have never been complaints about MS Dhoni’s calm behaviour on the field, but his teammates have often joked about his poor communication over the phone. In several interactions, Indian cricketers complained that reaching MS Dhoni is extremely difficult as he doesn’t carry a phone with him.

Fans were well aware of MS Dhoni’s bitter-sweet relationship with the phone, but Sachin Tendulkar’s son, Arjun Tendulkar’s wedding festivities caught a different side of Captain Cool. As the former Indian skipper attended the function with his wife, his rare sight carrying a phone quickly grabbed everyone’s attention.
After the video came out, fans witnessed the most unexpected moment. For the unversed, Dhoni famously wasn’t carrying a phone during the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup, and it was Suresh Raina who informed him about the birth of his daughter, Ziva Singh Dhoni. However, fans enjoyed this new side of Captain Cool.

Arjun Tendulkar tied the knot with his fiancée, Saaniya Chandhok, in a private ceremony in Mumbai after getting engaged last year. However, cricket and Bollywood reunited to bless the young couple on their big day. Stars like Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh, Ajit Agarkar, and Irfan Pathan were spotted with their families.
Adding to that, Team India’s head coach, Gautam Gambhir, also attended the wedding with his family amidst the ongoing T20 World Cup. Along with that, players like Rahul Dravid, Shreyas Iyer, and Ashish Nehra also attended the ceremony.
Just not the cricketing icons, as the Bollywood stars also joined the festivities, as Shahrukh Khan and Amir Khan were spotted at the venue. Along with that, the entire Bachchan family arrived to join the newlywed couple.

After MS Dhoni hung up his boots from international cricket in 2020, fans wait through out the year just to catch a glimpse of him in the IPL. While CSK had a forgettable campaign last season, rumors about his possible retirement once again began to spread among fans.
Before the IPL 2026 arrived, MS Dhoni had already joined the camp of Chennai Super Kings, delighting fans with glimpses of his practice sessions. As another season is arriving, the cricket world is ready to see Captain Cool changing the game from behind the stumps.
