India’s biggest festival, the IPL, is set to begin this month as the 19th season of the marquee event will witness ten teams going toe-to-toe for the coveted trophy. With a couple of weeks left for the IPL, players have started to assemble as training camps have begun, and preparations have started for the league.

The five-time IPL champions, CSK, have also started their training camp, and the senior players like MS Dhoni and Ruturaj Gaikwad are also attending it as the Yellow Army aims to reclaim their crown, which they last won in 2023.

MS Dhoni's adorable dance moves go viral at CSK nets

This year, something feels different about CSK. They have assembled a strong squad; the mood in the team looks light, and it can be seen on their faces. MS Dhoni, who hardly expresses his emotions, is also showcasing it, and a video released by CSK’s official handle captures a light-hearted MSD moment.

During a batting practice session, MSD was at his best, striking the ball hard and making life difficult for the bowlers. In one particular moment, the former CSK skipper stepped down the track to take on the net bowler, but the spinner saw him coming as he deliberately bowled wide outside the off.

MSD instantly called for a wide, but it wasn’t a simple gesture; rather, MSD spread his hands and showcased his brilliant dance moves to signal that it was a wide delivered by the bowler. It was an adorable moment as the CSK and India legend hardly expresses his feelings, but the spontaneous dance moves brought his inner child out.

MSD set to play another season with CSK

After the end of the 2025 IPL season, speculations were raised that MS Dhoni might have played his last IPL season, and from the next season onwards, he might not join the team. However, all the rumours were quashed by the CSK CEO, stating that MSD is an integral part of the CSK side, and he will continue to represent the franchise.

At 44, the former IPL captain is still one of the fittest players in the CSK squad, and the young team needs his experience for the upcoming season as they aim to win the title for the sixth time. Several reports have also added that the IPL 2026 season could be his last, but those are just speculations.

Who all have joined CSK's training camp before IPL 2026

Almost all the players in the CSK squad have joined the training camp, barring Sanju Samson, Shivam Dube and the other international stars who are taking part in the T20 World Cup 2026. The likes of Gaikwad, MSD, Sarfaraz Khan, have been working hard in the nets, and the other youngsters have also joined the camp.

The World Cup-bound players are expected to join the squad after March 8, with CSK investing heavily in quality domestic and international stars.
