Mitchell Santner Pulls Off Stunning Rebound Catch (Source: Screengrab)
Mitchell Santner wears glasses on the field, but when it comes to reflexes and his ability to flex his fielding skills, there might be very few at the moment who can be better in that department than he is. And Santner showed it once again on Friday when New Zealand and India were up against each other in the fourth T20I of the five-match series at Eden Park, Auckland.
After an incredible Glenn Phillips show, Mitchell Santner brought himself into the attack ahead of the eighth over of India’s innings. He struck straight away, getting the wicket of Nitish Reddy on the very first ball of the day.
And after that, the magic happened in Auckland.
Mitchell Santner Grabs A Rebound Catch With One Hand
Batting on seven off nine deliveries, Axar Patel saw a tossed-up delivery bowled by Santner and drilled the drive back at the New Zealand captain. The Kiwi all-rounder missed it on his first attempt in his follow-through, as it came too quickly at him.
Immediately after, he parried the ball up and stretched his hand to complete a superb rebound catch. And the celebration after that indicated that he enjoyed what he did.
