India Sixes lost to Pakistan Sixes on Friday (October 30) in a Group C fixture of Hong Kong Sixes 2026 at Mission Road Ground, Mong Kok. The Abbas Afridi-led side outclassed Krunal Pandya and his boys, as India Sixes got off to a worst possible start to kick off the proceedings in the competition.

For the starters, Hong Kong Sixes matches are six-overs-per side, and known for high-scoring encounters. There, India posted 88/5 batting first, which was a below-par score considering the tournament’s approach.

Nitish Rana Disappoints As India Fail To Stage A Comeback

Nitish Rana, in particular, struggled with the bat before being retired out. Pakistan, in reply, began with a 31-run over, with Abbas Afridi smashing Krunal Pandya with five back-to-back sixes in the captain versus captain battle.

T Natarajan too disappointed, conceding 28 runs off his only over.

Coming to open, Nitish Rana made only 19 runs off 14 balls before returning to the pavilion. His partner Rahul Tripathi did not do much damage either, as his score read 9 off 5 balls before Muhammad Shahzad had him.

Thanks to Shashank Singh’s brisk 11-ball 40, India managed to post a respectable, although it was not enough at all.

India Sixes could not recover from there, as Pakistan Sixes took only 3.5 overs to get past the finishing line, having lost only two wickets.

Abbas got the support from Khawaja Nafay, who raced to 41 runs off just 12 balls.

Pakistan Win Vs India After UAE Defeat

Earlier on Friday, Pakistan Sixes lost to the UAE Sixes in the Hong Kong Sixes 2026. Khalid Shah’s 20-ball 71 helped the UAE chase down a107-run target.

UAE Sixes’ Zahid Ali played a crucial cameo as well to get the job done. He made an unbeaten eight-ball 22 to chase down the target on the very last ball.

However, Pakistan Sixes managed to Group exit from Hong Kong Sixes after win over India Sixes few hours later. Now, India Sixes must defeat the UAE Sixes to advance to the next round. They will meet on Saturday (October 31) on 8:05 AM IST.

At present, Pakistan Sixes are at the top of Group C, while the UAE Sixes are second. India Sixes, currently, are at the bottom.
