Jemimah Rodrigues has dropped a crucial recovery update after spending months on the sidelines. The 26-year-old, who sustained an injury during The Hundred 2026 Women’s season in England back in August, has not played competitive cricket since then.

Jemimah’s latest remarks indicate that she is well on track to make her international return for Team India before their upcoming multi-format tour of South Africa.

Jemimah Rodrigues “can’t wait to get going”

Taking to her Instagram account on Friday, October 30, Jemimah Rodrigues confirmed that her hamstring has been declared fit by the medical team. The 26-year-old also added that she is now raring to return to the field after spending three months in rehabilitation.

Jemimah wrote, “Life Update: HAMSTRING HAS BEEN DECLARED FIT!!!!!!!! After 3 months of rehab. Now I can't wait to get going.”

Back in August this year while playing for the Southern Brave Women franchise in Women’s The Hundred 2026 season in England, the cricketer sustained a hamstring injury and was forced to fly back to India.

While she was replaced by Charli Knott at The Hundred, the prolific Indian batter was also ruled out of Team India squad for the 2026 Women’s Asia Cup in the UAE as well as from the 2026 Women’s T20 Asian Games in Nisshin, Japan.

Moreover, Rodrigues was also excluded from the Team India squad for their three-match ODI and three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe Women at home.

Jemimah Rodrigues eyes Team India return in South Africa

With Team India routing Zimbabwe 6-0 across both white-ball formats at home, Smriti Mandhana and co. are scheduled to tour South Africa in December to play a Test, three ODIs and three T20I matches against the hosts.

After spending nearly three months on the sidelines, Jemimah Rodrigues will be hoping to make her return to competitive cricket before India takes flight for the rainbow nation.

It is worth noting that the prolific middle-order batter has not played a single international match for India since securing a historic Test win against England at Lord’s this July.

With her hamstring now declared fit, Rodrigues will be keen to return to action and make her presence felt for Team India on the upcoming South Africa tour.
