In the ongoing IPL 2026 match between the Delhi Capitals and the Gujarat Titans at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Glenn Phillips has again hogged the internet for his superhuman effort. The New Zealand international is known for his fielding skills, but he surprised fans with a never-before-seen effort.
For the unversed, the Gujarat Titans, batting first, put 210 runs on the board, courtesy of fifty-plus scores from Shubman Gill, Jos Buttler, and Washington Sundar. In reply, Delhi Capitals openers - Pathum Nissanka and KL Rahul played out the powerplay sensibly.

As mentioned above, KL Rahul and Pathum Nissanka have struggled as an opening pair in the tournament so far. Delhi Capitals have won their first two matches, but their top order has been the biggest weakness. Therefore, for the ongoing match, the duo decided to get off to a controlled start.

Notably, after the power play, Delhi Capitals were 63/0. There weren’t many risks involved, no false shots, just proper cricket. However, there was just one instance in the first 6 overs, where the Delhi fans had their hearts in mouth.
Glenn Phillips Super Human Effort Troubles KL Rahul
Notably, on the 1st ball of the 6th over, KL Rahul mistimed a shot that went high in the air. It cleared the 30-yard circle. Meanwhile, Glenn Phillips ran backwards from the circle and flew in the air to attempt the catch. It was a stellar effort because Phillips shouldn’t have been near the ball in the first place.
The entire stadium was stunned to see the effort. The ball eventually went for a four, but the fans stood on their feet to applaud the effort. KL Rahul, on the other end, surely would have his heart racing as he didn’t expect Glenn Phillips to get close to the ball.

KL Rahul Regains Lost Mojo vs Gujarat Titans
KL Rahul had a poor start to the IPL 2026. He scored a golden duck in the first match against LSG, followed up by a solitary run against Mumbai Indians. However, in the ongoing match, KL Rahul scored a fifty in 29 balls.
