Eid Al-Fitr, one of the most celebrated occasions among Muslims across the world, marks the end of Ramadan. Babar Azam, who was not having a good time on the field while representing Pakistan, made sure his current form does not impact his ardent fans on the prestigious Islamic holiday.
After a disappointing display for Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2026, Babar Azam took a break from the National T20 Cup, aiming to get a fresh start in PSL 2026, where he plays for Peshawar Zalmi.
However, the avatar he took on Eid Al-Fitr surprised many fans, as he made it public by posting a video on social media.

Representing Peshawar Zalmi, Babar was not at his absolute best in PSL 2025 either. Across 10 innings, he made 288 runs at a strike rate of 128.57, averaging only 36. He had one significant contribution during PSL 2025.
Coming at No. 3, he scored 94 off 49 balls against Karachi Kings, which had 10 fours and four sixes off his bat.
Overall, Babar has played for three PSL franchises: Islamabad United and Karachi Kings before joining Peshawar Zalmi. He has been playing Pakistan’s best T20 competition since 2015/16, having played 100 matches and aggregated 3792 runs at an average of 44.61.
Peshawar Zalmi PSL 2026 Schedule
Even though PSL 2026 will begin on March 26, Babar Azam, in all likelihood, will be first in action on March 28. Peshawar will play against Rawalpindiz on March 28 at Imran Khan Cricket Stadium.
After that, Peshawar will play Islamabad United – one of Babar Azam’s former PSL franchises – on March 31. The fixture will take place in Rawalpindi. Hyderabad, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators will be Peshwar’s next five oppositions in PSL 2026.
Babar Azam T20 World Cup 2026 Stats
In the T20 World Cup 2026, which India ended up winning the title for the third time, and Pakistan failed to reach the semi-finals, Babar had the best score of 45. It came against the USA.
In other fixtures, he made 25 (against England), 15 (against the Netherlands) and 5 (against India).
Notably, Babar, the highest run-getter in the T20 World Cup 2021, was demoted to bat in the middle order under the leadership of Salman Agha. The plan did not work out, and it was one of many factors for which Pakistan failed to live up to the expectations in the mega event.
