Vikas Kohli, the brother of Indian cricket legend, Virat Kohli, has again lashed out at Sanjay Manjrekar. Last night, the Men in Blue faced a massive blow as they suffered a heartbreaking series defeat against New Zealand. As the Indian batting lineup faced a massive slump, Kohli stood as the lone warrior and crafted a magnificent hundred.

Just days ago, former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar claimed Kohli was picking the easiest format to showcase his game. After Kohli’s stunning innings in the last match, his brother Vikas Kohli’s suspicious message grabbed attention.

Vikas Kohli’s cryptic message sparks fresh buzz

Since the earliest stage of his career, Virat Kohli has been called the ‘Chase Master,’ and he redefined his name once again in the last match against New Zealand. When the entire batting lineup faltered while chasing a massive 338-run total, Kohli stood tall as the lone warrior.

Guiding the side towards the target, he crafted a magnificent innings of 124 runs, but the script flipped after his dismissal. After the incredible innings, Virat Kohli’s brother Vikas Kohli made a post on his social media, and the fans wasted no time in linking that to Manjrekar’s previous comment.

“I wonder if mr expert of cricket has some suggestions for the easiest form of cricket… U need to be there to do that… anyways… As I said … EASIER SAID THAN DONE….,” Kohli’s elder brother wrote on social media.

Manjrekar’s Sharp dig at Virat Kohli

Over the years, former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar’s controversial remarks grabbed the attention. Recently, the debate took a bizarre turn when he aimed at Virat Kohli, claiming that ODI cricket is the easiest format of the game.

Establishing his opinion, he said the fifty-over format has always been very easy for the top order, and adding to this, Kohli bats at the number three position. He also dragged Kohli’s Test career into the debate, questioning why the star batter stepped away from the format without addressing his struggles

Where others falter, King Kohli stands tall

Despite being one of the greatest to ever play the game, Virat has often faced more criticism than praise. Yet when the team slides into trouble, he steps into the scene with a brave heart, and the last ODI clash against the Kiwis was no exception. Chasing down a mammoth total, the top order faltered, and Virat Kohli stood as India’s only hope.

Joining captain Shubman Gill after Rohit Sharma walked away scoring only 11 runs, Kohli weaved a ray of hope. As Kohli stood like a wall, the other Indian batter failed to support him. Once Gill departed for 23, Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul followed quickly, managing only three and one respectively.

After that, Nitish Kumar Reddy joined Kohli and the duo stitched a crucial 88-run partnership. Pushing the team towards the total, Kohli anchored the innings and scored a sublime fifty. When Harshit Rana joined him in the field, the Men in Blue got a massive boost.

The duo piled up the runs quickly, but Kohli gifted another thrilling hundred in that pressured situation. Even after touching the three-figure mark, he kept hitting hard before Kristian Clarke ended his innings in 124 runs. Despite India’s heartbreaking defeat, Kohli once again emerged as the lone torchbearer in the chase.
