India's star spinner Kuldeep Yadav is preparing to begin an important new journey in his personal life. The talented spinner will marry his childhood friend and fiancée, Vanshika Chaddha on March 14. The wedding will take place in the beautiful hill station of Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. 

Kuldeep recently played a role in India’s successful campaign in the T20 World Cup 2026. Soon after the tournament victory, attention has shifted to the upcoming wedding celebration.

Kuldeep Yadav's performance in T20 World Cup 

Notably, Kuldeep Yadav was part of the Indian squad that defended the T20 World Cup title with a convincing win over New Zealand in the final at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

It is important to note that Kuldeep played in selected matches during the tournament. Nevertheless, he delivered an important performance in the group-stage game against Pakistan, where he bowled a tight spell and conceded only 14 runs in three overs while taking a wicket.

Meanwhile, several well-known personalities from the cricket world are likely to attend the wedding celebrations. Reports suggest that legendary former India captain Sunil Gavaskar may be present at the event. In addition, current Indian players such as Rinku Singh, Suryakumar Yadav, and Tilak Varma are also expected to take part in the festivities.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli expected to attend

Meanwhile, two of India’s biggest cricket stars, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, are likely to attend the ceremony as well. Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah may also join the celebrations. Therefore, the wedding is expected to turn into a gathering of many prominent cricket figures.

Preparations in Mussoorie are already underway. The famous Savoy Hotel in the hill station has been decorated for the wedding celebrations. Hotel authorities revealed that nearly 80 rooms have been reserved for guests. 

Furthermore, additional luxury hotels nearby have arranged accommodation for family members, VIP guests, and security teams.

Kuldeep Yadav and Vanshika's meaningful connection

Kuldeep Yadav and Vanshika share a long and meaningful connection. Both grew up in Kanpur, where their families lived very close to each other. Kuldeep belongs to the Lal Bungalow area, while Vanshika comes from Shyam Nagar. The distance between their homes was only about three kilometres. As a result, their friendship developed from an early age.

Notably, Vanshika currently works as an administrative professional with the Life Insurance Corporation of India. She also pursued higher studies in Melbourne, which reflects her strong academic background. Over the years, she remained a steady and supportive presence in Kuldeep’s life, especially during his early cricket journey and his Under-19 cricket days.

The couple got engaged on June 4 during a traditional ceremony in Lucknow. The wedding was initially planned for November. However, Kuldeep’s busy cricket schedule, including an important multi-format series against South Africa, led to a delay. Eventually, the family decided on the March date for the special occasion.

Following the private wedding ceremony in Mussoorie, Kuldeep and Vanshika will host a grand reception in Lucknow on March 17. The event will take place at Hotel Centrum.
