Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who was part of India’s winning squad in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026, has now reached Dehradun for another important celebration in his personal life.
The left-arm spinner recently celebrated India’s victory over New Zealand in the tournament final, and now he is preparing for his wedding with his fiancée Vanshika Chadha.
Kuldeep Yadav’s role in T20 World Cup campaign
During the recently concluded tournament, Kuldeep Yadav played only one match for Men in Blue. That game was the group-stage clash against Pakistan in Colombo. In that match, held at the R. Premadasa Stadium, Kuldeep bowled three overs and delivered an impressive spell of 1 wicket for 14 runs.
India’s dominant victory in T20 World Cup
Notably, the news about Kuldeep’s upcoming wedding comes soon after India’s dominant performance in the final of the T20 World Cup 2026. The final match took place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
In that match, India produced a powerful batting performance and posted a huge total of 255 runs. Several players contributed strongly with the bat. Half-centuries from Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Sanju Samson helped India build a massive score.
New Zealand faced difficulties while chasing such a large target. Eventually, the team was bowled out for 159 runs, and India secured a comfortable victory.
Wedding plans in Mussoorie
Following the World Cup celebrations, reports suggest that Kuldeep Yadav will marry his fiancée Vanshika Chadha on March 14. The wedding ceremony is expected to take place in the hill station of Mussoorie.

It is worth mentioning that Kuldeep and Vanshika got engaged in June last year during a private ceremony in Lucknow. The engagement event included only close family members and a few invited guests.
Ahead of the wedding, Kuldeep arrived at the Jolly Grant Airport on March 12 along with his family members. A video shared by the ANIl showed the cricketer arriving at the airport.
Wedding postponed for T20 World Cup
Reports also reveal that Kuldeep Yadav had earlier planned to marry in November 2025. Later, he decided to postpone the wedding in order to fully focus on helping India prepare for the T20 World Cup 2026.
Interestingly, Kuldeep Yadav and Vanshika Chadha both come from Kanpur. The couple reportedly grew up only about three kilometers away from each other. Vanshika currently works as an employee at LIC.
Meanwhile, Kuldeep’s father, Ram Singh Yadav, recently met Yogi Adityanath to personally invite him to the wedding.
The wedding celebration is expected to include several well-known personalities from the cricket world. Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar and current international players such as Rinku Singh, Suryakumar Yadav, and Tilak Varma are likely to attend the celebrations.
At the same time, the wedding ceremony itself will remain private and intimate, with mostly close family members and friends present. After the wedding, a grand reception will take place on March 17 at Hotel Centrum in Lucknow.
