On Sunday, Royal Challengers Bengaluru lifted their 2nd IPL title and took over the internet for becoming the third team in history to defend their title. It was a near-perfect season for RCB, but it was RR’s Vaibhav Sooryavanshi who took the league by storm and became a household name.

It was a freak season for the 15-year-old as he ended the tournament as the leading run-getter with 776 runs in 16 matches, averaging 48.50. The youngster was present at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday to watch the RCB vs GT final.

It was not a mere appearance, but the youngster was invited there to collect his accolades he won after a speldous season.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Dominates IPL 2026 Award Ceremony

It was an award ceremony dominated by Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. The 15-year-old won five prestigious trophies. Talking about his awards, he won the Orange Cap, Super Striker of the season, MVP, emerging player of the season and most sixes in a season.

It is quite rare to see a 15-year-old dominate the award ceremony. The highlight for him was to see him bag the player of the tournament award in the form of Most Valuable Player (MVP) of IPL 2026. With all the accolades, the board also financially rewarded the player.

Firstly, Rajasthan Royals signed Vaibhav Sooryavanshi for 1.10 crores, which the 15-year-old earned for IPL 2026 as well. On top of that, he earned several accolades during the tournament.

IPL 2026 Match Fees

For the unversed, after IPL 2024, the BCCI introduced match fees for the first time in the tournament. According to new rules, a player will earn 7.5 lakh rupees for every game they play in IPL 2026.

So, according to that, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has played 15 matches, which means that he earned 1.12 crores via match fees.

IPL 2026 Awards and Accolades

Apart from that, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi won five accolades as mentioned above. Below is the prize money he earned for that.

  • Vaibhav Sooryavanshi bagged the orange cap, for which he took home 10 lakh rupees. 
  • The 15-year-old took a car and 10 lakhs for Super Striker of the season
  • Vaibhav Sooryavanshi also won 15 lakh rupees for being the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of IPL 2026.
  • Vaibhav Sooryavanshi also won 10 lakh rupees each for bagging the emerging player of the season award and most sixes in a season. 

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's Total IPL 2026 Earnings

Therefore, he won a total of 55 lakhs and a car after the IPL 2026 post-match ceremony. Now, if we add it all, then 1.10 auction fee, 1.12 crores match fee and 45 lakh rupees in awards and accolades, which totals to 2 crores and 77 lakh rupees.
