Steyn added that India must be cautious how they manage Sooryavanshi and look after him. "Sooryavanshi is a different gravy, man! He's better than most international players right now. He is a boy wonder, somebody who is a treasure for Indian cricket," he stated.
"You think of guys like Sachin, Virat, and this kid is going to explode. He's going to be bigger than both of them put together at the end of his career. So, I would caution how you manage him and look after him because with great responsibility comes great reward," Dale Steyn added.
"But there's a big threat there that you could lose him at some point if you don't look after him well enough," Steyn concluded.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's India Debut Under Threat
At present, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is in Sri Lanka with India A side. Following the tri-nation A series, the 15-year-old will join the senior team and travel to Ireland for his maiden tour. However, his debut is under threat because of the recent civil unrest in Belfast, the second-largest city of Ireland.
Belfast is currently experiencing a civil unrest and violence sparked by a severe knife attack. A 30-year-old asylum seeker was charged with attempted murder after a local man was brutally stabbed, leading to protests that escalated into riots, torched vehicles, and damage to homes.
