Sonal Dinusha tons up to rescue Sri Lanka in second Test
Sri Lanka wrested out a draw against India by batting out Day 5 in the second Test at Colombo. Trailing by an innings and 213 runs, the hosts mounted 429-9d in 154 overs, with Sonal Dinusha making an epic 133* to record his second century of the match and the third of the series.

Three-wicket hauls from Manav Suthar and Ravindra Jadeja went in vain but India sealed the two-match Test series by a 1-0 margin.
India vs Bangladesh series gets a new date
The India vs Bangladesh series will likely be postponed to January next year. A source close to the BCCI said that the Indian board is still in discussion with the government, and the BCB is now seeking a window at the beginning of 2027.
Team India was originally scheduled to tour Bangladesh in August 2025 before the tour was postponed to September 2026. It is worth noting that the BCCI is yet to make any official statement regarding the tour.
Anushka Sharma, Yastika Bhatia to lead India A Women vs Australia
The BCCI has unveiled complete squads for the India A Women team for their upcoming all-format home series against Australia A Women. As many as 27 cricketers are spread across three separate squads of 15 players each, with only eight players finding themselves in all three groups.
Anushka Sharma will lead the team in the three-match T20 series, and India star Yastika Bhatia will captain the side in three One Day games and one-off four-day match.
BCCI announce India U19 squads for home series vs Australia U19
The BCCI also announced the complete squad of the India U19 team for their home series against Australia U19. Aaryavir Sehwag and Anvay Dravid, sons of former cricketers Virender Sehwag and Rahul Dravid, were both included in the squad for the One-Day series.
Interestingly, teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was not named in any of the two squads against Australia U19.
UAE’s Asif Khan sanctioned by ICC
The ICC has suspended UAE batter Asif Khan for violating the ICC’s anti-doping regulations. The 36-year-old himself admitted to violating Article 2.1 of the ICC Anti-Doping Code and accepted the sanction imposed through a Case Resolution Agreement with the ICC and the WADA. He has been banned for a 15-month period.
