In a significant development, Cricket South Africa (CSA) has announced South Africa’s entire 15-player squad for the upcoming series against Team India. It is worth noting that the two sides are scheduled to cross paths for a series of five T20I matches in South Africa between April 17 and April 27.
Back in late-March last month, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also confirmed India’s travelling squad, with both captain Harmanpreet Kaur and her deputy Smriti Mandhana once again lined up to helm the national side.
Laura Wolvaardt to lead, one uncapped star named in SA squad
On Monday, April 13, CSA named a 15-player South Africa Women’s squad for the upcoming five-match home T20I series against India Women. Star opener Laura Wolvaardt will continue to lead the side in South Africa’s final T20I assignment before the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.
The board also included one uncapped player in the group, in the form of young wicketkeeper-batter Tebogo Macheke. She will be replacing Karabo Meso, who recently toured New Zealand before a wrist injury ruled her out of the India series.

All-rounder Eliz-Mari Marx also made her return to South Africa’s T20I setup after over a year, as a replacement of fast bowler Masabata Klaas as the CSA made only two changes to the national squad from its earlier away series against New Zealand.
Seasoned campaigner Marizanne Kapp continues to remain unavailable for selection as she is still rehabilitating from her illness. Here is a look at the entire South Africa Women squad for the series against India Women.

India’s five-match tour of South Africa will also serve as a testing ground for both sides before the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England in June this year. The series will mark South Africa’s final set of T20I fixtures before the showpiece event.
Team India, on the other hand, will also face England mere weeks prior to the tournament.
