As revealed by the ICC, twelve teams will participate in the tournament, which will be played between June 12 and July 5. Hosts England will face Sri Lanka in the opening encounter at Edgbaston. Meanwhile, the Home of Cricket, Lord's, will host the high-voltage final of the Women's T20 World Cup 2026.

India, Pakistan in same group for Women's T20 World Cup 2026

Arch-rivals India and Pakistan are placed in the same group for the upcoming Women's T20 World Cup edition. After winning their maiden ODI World Cup, India would be looking forward to break their title drought in the shortest format.

However, India's path to the silverware will be as tricky as possible, with Australia, South Africa, Pakistan and Bangladesh likely to challenge the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side.

The Women in Blue will kick off their campaign against Pakistan on June 14 before brushing shoulders with the Netherlands, Bangladesh, South Africa and Australia on the 17th, 21st, 25th and 28th of the month, respectively.

Meanwhile, group 2 comprises formidable teams like England, New Zealand and the West Indies alongside giant-killers Sri Lanka, Ireland and Scotland.
