There are a few left, and they will be delivered to the team shortly. With players needing two different jerseys there (one for bilateral and another for Asian Games), this can happen,” the source told PTI.Poor hotel arrangements frustrate BCCI in JapanThe kit issue is not the only logistical concern surrounding India's men's cricket team. The BCCI has reportedly decided to make separate hotel arrangements for the men's squad rather than use the accommodation allocated through the IOA.The decision reportedly followed concerns over the suitability of the accommodation originally assigned to the team. One of the major problems was the lack of sufficient space to store the players' cricket kit bags.“The women's team accommodation was never an issue. The rooms provided by the organisers for the men's team did not even have space to keep the kit bags. There are not many big hotels there, but the BCCI has managed to make its own arrangement shortly before their departure to Japan,” the source said, as per PTI.The women's cricket team for the tournament, meanwhile, continues to stay at accommodation arranged through the IOA for Asian Games 2026.There have also been concerns regarding the cricket facilities in Nagoya, including the playing surface, giving the Indian men's team several logistical matters to sort out before the competition.Will kit size issue hamper India's travel to Japan for Asian Games 2026?Despite the last-minute kit problem, there is currently little indication that Shreyas Iyer and Co.’s departure for Japan will be significantly delayed. The majority of the sizing concerns have already been addressed, while the remaining replacement kits are expected to reach the players shortly.India's first Asian Games match is not until September 28, giving the team some room before its main tournament assignment.
