The star cricketer attended the Pro Wrestling League (PWL) 2026 title clash at the Noida Indoor Stadium. The final saw Haryana Thunders defeat Delhi Dangal Warriors to win the championship.

Shreyas Iyer was seated in the stands alongside social media stars Elvish Yadav and Shehnaaz Gill and followed the contest closely. He was seen chatting with Elvish during the match.

The two appeared comfortable and cheerful as they watched the wrestlers in action.

The Indian cricketer also posed for pictures with fans at the venue. Many supporters shared photos and videos online, which soon gained attention. His presence added star value to the event.

A clip from the stadium showed Iyer smiling and enjoying the atmosphere. The video was shared widely on Instagram and other platforms, as fans are loving the crossover between the sports and entertainment industries.

Iyer’s T20I absence ahead of the World Cup

On the cricketing front, Shreyas Iyer was part of India’s squad for the recent five-match T20I series against New Zealand. He was named as a replacement for the injured Tilak Varma.

India won the series 4-1 under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav. However, Iyer did not get a chance to play. He remained on the bench for all five matches.

In T20Is overall, Shreyas Iyer has played 47 innings so far. He has scored 1,104 runs. His average stands at 30.66 with a 136.12 strike rate. He has also hit eight half-centuries in the format.

Despite his experience, Iyer is not part of India’s squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2026. The tournament will begin on February 7 and will be hosted by India and Sri Lanka.

Iyer will be next seen in IPL 2026 for PBKS

Meanwhile, Shreyas is now expected to return to competitive cricket in the IPL 2026. The season is scheduled to start on March 26.

He will lead the Punjab Kings once again, as the 2026 season will be his second year as the franchise captain.

In IPL 2025, his first season with Punjab Kings, Iyer guided the team to the final. Punjab fought back strongly in the tournament. However, they lost the final match to RCB, led by Rajat Patidar.

Despite the loss, Shreyas Iyer’s leadership was widely praised. For now, Shreyas seems to be enjoying some time away from cricket. After recent injury setbacks and snubs, the middle-order batter needs time to rejuvenate himself mentally.
