Taking over the role from Suryakumar Yadav, who just helped India win the T20 World Cup 2026, it was a hammering blow for Punjab Kings captain, particularly because he was not in the mix of things for India’s T20 set-up for a good amount of time. However, things can change, and it could happen in a real quick. Shreyas will be in action once again on July 1, when India will begin their five-match T20I series in England. With him seeking redemption, there is no better result than India winning a T20I series in England to shut the noise around him.Shreyas Iyer Opens Up On Suryakumar Yadav’s 1st Official MessageAs Suryakumar Yadav is no longer in the mix of things, Shreyas Iyer took control and replaced him in India’s playing XI in T20Is as well. Now, Shreyas has revealed exactly what Suryakumar Yadav told him after the BCCI made the official announcement. Shreyas’ remarks came during the press conference ahead of India vs England T20I series.“Suryakumar Yadav is a similar kind of character. I’ve played a lot of domestic cricket with him. So yes, we had a really good interaction, and at the same time, there’s a lot to learn," Shreyas told the reporters. Also Read: Vaibhav Sooryavanshi To Debut?
