Pakistan veteran Salma Ali Agha has finally opened up about the unfortunate fly-back home amid the England tour back in August 2026. Salman was among the seven players who were sent back home mid-tour without any official explanation from the part of Pakistan Cricket Board.

After almost a month, as Pakistan is headed for an ODI Tri-Series final against Sri Lanka on October 31, Salman has responded to the action while indirectly pointing fingers at the PCB chief, Mohsin Naqvi.

Salman Agha retorts England tour snub with brutal message

Agha was one of the first players from the group of seven who were snubbed after defeats in the first two Tests. Among the players, seniors Mohammad Rizwan and Imam-ul-Haq were also sent back to Pakistan for match-fixing investigations.

Answering back to the snub a month back, Salman Agha has opened up in front of the media while taking a slight dig at the PCB.

“During the series, this (sending players home) has never happened before, and I don’t think it’ll happen again. Dropping players [out of the squad] during the series is not a good thing, and hopefully it won’t happen again," Agha said at a press conference on Friday.

For the unaware, Agha led Pakistan in the first Test in Babar Azam’s absence, and scored 21 and 4 in the two innings, before being dropped for the second match.

Agha returns to Tests for Pakistan after recent impressions

Now, Salman Agha has effectively made his return to red-ball cricket for his nation once again. In the recently announced Sri Lanka Test series squad, Agha has been selected, with Babar Azam leading the squad.

Speaking of his red-ball comeback, after returning from England tour, Agha participated in the President’s Trophy and produced a brilliant performance. He bagged a triple century and a 145-run stand in two different matches representing his domestic club and averaged 95.33 in the tournament from 8 innings.

Currently, Agha is playing in the Pakistan Tri-Series, impressing with the bat. He slammed a 90-ball 107 in the opening match against Lanka, even though he had underwhelming scores of 16, 26 and 9 in the following matches.
