Sai Sudharsan has been ruled out of Team India squad for the upcoming two-match Test series in Sri Lanka. India Women’s star batter Jemimah Rodrigues is set to miss the remainder of the Hundred 2026 Women’s season for the Southern Brave franchise.

Sai Sudharsan ruled out of India’s tour of Sri Lanka

Indian top-order batter Sai Sudharsan has been ruled out of the upcoming two-match Test series in Sri Lanka. The cricketer is yet to attain full recovery from the injury he sustained a few weeks ago.

While the BCCI is yet to name Sudharsan’s replacement for the series, several reports indicate that the Indian team management might rope in Sarfaraz Khan or Shaikh Rasheed for the two-week long Sri Lanka tour.

Taijul Islam doubtful for Bangladesh’s series vs Australia

Bangladesh senior spinner Taijul Islam is doubtful to make it to his team’s playing XI for the upcoming two-match Test series in Australia. The cricketer sustained a finger injury on Day 1 of Bangladesh’s three-day warm-up match against Cricket Australia XI at the Marrara Oval in Darwin. 

In his absence, the Bangladesh team management requested match officials to use Musfik Hasan as a replacement for Taijul in the warm-up match.

NS Chaturved scripts historic ton in big Madurai Panthers win in TNPL 2026

Madurai Panthers defeated Kovai Kings by six wickets in match number seven of the TNPL 2026 season. Chasing 240 runs for a win, NS Chaturved at number three blasted 121 runs off just 47 balls with 15 fours and seven huge sixes for the Panthers. 

The historic outcome marked the highest successful run chase in the history of TNPL, and maintained Madurai Panthers’ unbeaten run this TNPL 2026 season. 

Charli Knott replaces Jemimah Rodrigues in Southern Brave for Hundred 2026

Jemimah Rodrigues has been ruled out of the remainder of The Hundred Women’s 2026 season in England. Playing for the Southern Brave franchise, the attacking Indian batter aggregated 143 runs in just six innings at an average of 35.75 this season so far. 

With Rodrigues bowing out of the competition owing to a hamstring injury, the Southern Brave franchise has roped in Australian batting all-rounder Charli Knott as her replacement. 

Afghanistan directly qualifies for 2027 World Cup after win over Ireland

The Afghanistan cricket team has gained direct qualification for the 2027 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in South Africa and Zimbabwe next year. The team achieved the same after crushing hosts Ireland by 92 runs in the second ODI of their five-match series. Afghanistan will now start out next year’s tournament as one of its top eight sides.
