But this time, a head coach Luke Ronchi of Islamabad found himself under the firing line in a media interaction earlier after the afternoon game on Thursday in Karachi, where tensions reportedly escalated during an intense press conference session.

Luke Ronchi Lashes Out at Pakistan Journalist after Islamabad United's defeat in PSL 2026

After Islamabad United’s loss against Rawalpindi in Match 34 of PSL 2026, head coach Luke Ronchi faced the media in a tense post-match press conference, where emotions were already running high following a disappointing performance and growing pressure on the team management at the venue.

During the interaction, a female journalist was asking a question when Ronchi was trying to listen, but a reporter sitting behind continued making noise despite not being called upon, disrupting the flow of the press conference and creating visible tension in the room immediately afterwards.

Ronchi immediately asked the interruption to stop, but after what followed he reacted angrily, saying, “He can ask a question I don’t give a shit,” before being calmed down as the media official in the room stepped in and asked the reporter to wait for his turn and maintain the decorum of the press conference.
