Prithvi Shaw and Akriti Agarwal's drama has now taken a dramatic turn just a day after the latter accused the former indirectly of cheating in the relationship. For the unaware, the duo announced their engagement on March 8 2026, in an Instagram post and the marriage was set to take place soon.
Prithvi Shaw’s engagement was announced ahead of the IPL 2026 with the player finding his home in Delhi Capitals but failing to get a game and a chance in the Playing XI for the entire season.
Nevertheless, Akriti has now taken to her Instagram account once again to add to her earlier claim about her fiancé Prithvi.

Akriti Agarwal sparked speculation after sharing a cryptic Instagram Story saying she had been "cheated so many times." Although she did not mention Prithvi Shaw by name, many social media users linked the post to the cricketer.
She also reportedly unfollowed Shaw on Instagram before following him again and shared several posts about cheating and betrayal.
However, neither Prithvi Shaw nor Akriti Agarwal commented on the rumours, and there has also been no official confirmation that the two have ended their relationship. Addressing the rumour, Aktriti have taken a U-turn on the drama while defending Prithvi Shaw.

Akriti Shares Latest Instagram Story Defending Prithvi Shaw
In a sudden turn, taking to her official Instagram handle, Akriti has strongly defended the DC cricketer while pointing at rumours and false speculations regarding the potential marriage breakup.
“Just want to clear something up. I never mentioned my fiancé's name, nor did I say that our engagement was called off or that we had separated. It was unfortunate that many people assumed it was about him. We are happy together, still engaged, and doing absolutely fine.
This has also made me realise how easy it is for a public figure’s image and reputation to be affected by assumptions. A single post, without any names or context, can lead people to draw conclusions that aren’t true.
I never wanted to post this story for clarification. But when my partner’s dignity became the subject of so many posts, I knew I couldn’t remain silent. People in the public eye are constantly judged and questioned based on speculation rather than facts,” Akriti shared on her Instagram story.
The clarification explained the fact that Akriti didn’t mena to hint at Prithvi Shaw with her earlier Instagram story anyway. It was meant for someone else and the internet and media have simply pinpointed at a false perspective.

Prithvi Shaw's fiancée, Akriti Agarwal, is a social media influencer with around 3.1 million Instagram followers, known for her fashion, lifestyle and dance content. Meanwhile, Shaw has faced several off-field controversies during his career.
