Mumbai are currently facing Haryana in a Ranji Trophy 2026/27 fixture at the MCA Stadium, BKC. As the moving day is going on, the vistors are trailing by a massive margin, after Musheer Khan and Angkrish Raghuvanshi scored emphatic tons for the 42-time champions.

Not just Musheer scored a fifth First-Class hundred, the left-arm spinner has picked two big wickets as well. However, the Mumbai all-rounder could get reprimanded by the match referee, Sanjay Raul.

Match referee to reprimand Musheer Khan for excessive appealing

According to the Times of India, the Mumbai all-rounder Musheer Khan is in line to be reprimanded by the match referee, Sanjay Raul, for excessive appealing during the Group D against Haryana.

"Musheer is set to be reprimanded by match referee Sanjay Raul for excessive appealing," the report by TOI stated after stumps on Day 2.

Although the excessive appealing issue is new for Musheer, the talented 21-year-old all-rounder has a history of disciplinary issues.

Back in 2019, the Mumbai Cricket Association handed Musheer, then the Under-16 Captain, a three-year ban for indiscipline and inappropriate behaviour.

Last year, he faced scrutiny after an on-field sledging war with Prithvi Shaw during a Ranji Trophy warm-up between Mumbai and Maharashtra.

Musheer Khan's all-round heroics allign Mumbai for a hat-trick

Nevertheless, Musheer Khan and Angkrish Raghuvanshi shared a tall 202-run partnership for the second wicket, laying the platform for a massive total for Mumbai.

However, the hosts had a minor middle-order collapse, but Tanush Kotian helped the team cross the 400-run mark with an unbeaten half-century.

As Haryana trail in the first innings on the moving day, they have played nearly 60 overs with just two wickets down. Both wickets have been taken by Musheer Khan. However, they need more help from the rest of the bowlers; otherwise, Mumbai will bag their first draw of the season.

Mumbai are currently sitting at the top of Group D points table, with 14 points after two victories.
