Mohsin Naqvi To Punish Pakistan star who mocked India [Source: ChatGPT]
The Mohsin Naqvi-led PCB is all set to announce the Pakistan central contract list for the upcoming cricketing season. Led by Shan Masood, the Pakistani team is currently engaged in a two-match Test series in Bangladesh against the host nation.
If reports are to be believed, the PCB is going to drop several notable names from the Pakistan central contract list, including a prominent player who mocked India's Operation Sindoor.
The PCB announced the Pakistan central contract list for the 2025-26 season on August 19 last year, and it is valid till June 30.
Amid the team's torrid run in Bangladesh, a fresh report has surfaced, claiming some high-profile players are set to lose their Pakistan central contract for the forthcoming season.
Faheem Ashraf to lose PCB central contract
Veteran Pakistan allrounder Faheem Ashraf received massive backlash from the Indian cricket fraternity for his derogatory post on India's much-talked-about military strike, Operation Sindoor.
The Indian Army launched a military offence on Pakistan after India's intelligence agencies verified the neighbouring country's involvement in the barbaric Pahalgam terror attack.

Faheem Ashraf mocked the Indian Army with a derogatory post that also glorified Pakistan's Army chief Asim Munir.
If that was not enough, Faheem recently posted an artwork of his country's retaliatory military operation, which was successfully neutralised by India's advanced air defence system.
While he has grabbed the negative limelight for his political comments, Faheem's recent performance for Pakistan doesn't guarantee him a spot in the national team.
According to a report by Pakistan's renowned media agency Geo Super, Faheem Ashraf is all set to be removed by the Mohsin Naqvi-led PCB from the Pakistan central contract list.
Other players whom the PCB could show the exit door
Apart from Faheem Ashraf, senior players Mohammad Nawaz, Abdullah Shafique, Hussain Talat and Khushdil Shah will also likely be excluded from the Pakistan central contract list.
Mohammad Nawaz had a poor T20 World Cup campaign in Sri Lanka, where he managed only 15 runs and seven wickets across six matches.
Abdullah Shafique has been struggling with poor form for quite a while now. Hussain Talat and Khushdil Shah have failed to live up to the expectations despite the Mohsin Naqvi-led PCB giving them multiple opportunities at the highest level.
Azan Awais, Abdullah Fazal to be rewarded by Mohsin Naqvi's PCB
The PCB central contract list could witness the inclusion of several youngsters. As reported by Geo Super, Azan Awais and Abdullah Fazal are the two biggest contenders, whom the Mohsin Naqvi-led PCB might reward for their recent performances.
Opening batter Azan Awais emerged as Pakistan's biggest positive in the first Test against Bangladesh, joining an elite list of batters who have scored a century on Test debut.
Meanwhile, Abdullah Fazal slammed successive fifty-plus scores, showcasing his ability to thrive at the highest level. The PCB believes these two players can be valuable assets for the country and, therefore, may be included on the Pakistan central contract list.
