Gujarat Titans IPL 2026 Auction Review

The Titans franchise has bought the minimal number of players in the IPL 2026 auction. They have acquired five new players in the auction, with only three of them being overseas players.

They filled their 25-member squad with a total purse of 123.05 crore but still had one slot left for an overseas player, with 1.95 crore remaining in their purse.

Gujarat Titans' most expensive retention was Rashid Khan for 18 crore, followed by Shubman Gill for 16.5 crore. However, the most they spent in the auction was on West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder, who had a base price of 2 crore but was eventually roped in by the franchise for 7 crore INR.

The marquee names with the bat will be Shubman Gill, Jos Buttler, Sai Sudharsan, Glenn Phillips, and young talents Anuj Rawat and Umar Pusadra.

While they boast some solid firepower, the all-rounder department also looks strong with Jason Holder, Shahrukh Khan, Rahul Tewatia, and Washington Sundar on their side.

The bowling department will be led by Afghanistan star Rashid Khan, Mohammed Siraj, Kagiso Rabada, Prasidh Krishna, as well as veteran bowler Ishant Sharma.

Overall, the Titans' option is poised with minimal player transactions yet with large impacts that might influence the overall playing XI, with balanced batting, bowling, and all-rounder options.
