Sunrisers Hyderabad, a franchise which is yet to win the IPL glory, will start off their campaign on the inaugural day of the mega event on March 28. SRH will clash against the defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Bengaluru.
However, it is to be noted that the full IPL 2026 schedule has not been rolled out officially yet. Due to elections in several states, the roster will be released in several phases instead of being announced all at once.
Ahead of the scheduled release, the franchise made some strong acquisitions in the IPL 2026 auction, acquiring heavyweights who surely will look forward to making some impacts this season.

SRH IPL 2026 Auction Review
As expected of the franchise, Sunrisers Hyderabad have retained their monster batting core led by Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, Heinrich Klaasen and Ishan Kishan, and have also maintained the core lineup with skipper Pat Cummins at the helm.
Harshal Patel and Nitish Kumar Reddy have also been retained alongside Brydon Carse, Jaydev Unadkat, and Aniket Verma in the 25-member troop. Interestingly, the most expensive buy of SRH in the IPL 2026 auction was the new addition Liam Livingstone, whom they roped in for 13 crore.
Jack Edwards and Salil Arora were also roped in for 3 crore and 1.5 crore respectively to strengthen their all-rounder and batting backups. A lot of new names and rising youngsters were given the trust card by Hyderabad, as Praful Hinge, Sakib Hussain, and Krains Fuletra were also roped in for their base prices of 30 lakh.
All in all, Sunrisers Hyderabad looks like a super batting-heavy team with experienced bowling options mainly lying with Pat Cummins himself, Eshan Malinga, Harshal Patel, and Jaydev Unadkat.
Given the number of new purchases they have made, they still managed their purse well with a 190.55 crore spend and 5.45 crore left, while filling out their full slot of minimum and maximum players.
