Rohit Sharma’s availability for AFG ODIs in jeopardy
There is still no clarity regarding the availability of Rohit Sharma in the Indian team for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Afghanistan. While the former Indian captain recently missed a bunch of IPL 2026 matches for the Mumbai Indians franchise owing to his injury, the cricketer returned to the team later in the tournament.

As per a recent report, Sharma is yet to report to the BCCI's Centre of Excellence (CoE).
Gautam Gambhir confirms Sudharsan as India’s no. 3 for AFG Test
Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir has confirmed that Gujarat Titans opener Sai Sudharsan will bat at number three for the team in their upcoming one-off Test against Afghanistan. Sudharsan, who made his Test debut last year in England, has played just six matches in his career so far, scoring 302 runs at a below par average of 27.45.
Gambhir has now committed a longer run in the team for Sudharsan in a bid to help him make his name in Test cricket.
KL Rahul goes unsold in 2026 Maharaja Trophy
Legendary Indian opener KL Rahul has gone unsold in the 2026 Maharaja T20 League. The senior pro recently plundered 593 runs in just 14 innings of the IPL 2026 season for the Delhi Capitals, doing so at a prolific average of 45.61 and with a strike rate of 174.41, his highest in any single edition of the tournament.
Report confirm that Rahul went unsold because his availability is uncertain.
Shadab Khan signed by Edinburg Castle Rockers for ETPL 2026
Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan has been roped in by the Edinburgh Castle Rockers franchise for the upcoming ETPL 2026 season. The franchise is owned by a New Zealand-based consortium led by former Blackcaps cricketers Kyle Mills and Nathan McCullum.
Shadab has now joined the likes of Mitchell Santner, Tom Bruce, Tom Curran, JJ Smuts, Andries Gous among others in the team.
Ollie Robinson completes five-fer vs NZ on Day 2
England fast bowler and comeback man Ollie Robinson picked up his fifth wicket of the first New Zealand innings on Day 2 of their series-opening first Test at Lord’s. The speedster knocked over visitor’s number 11 Matt Henry for a five-ball duck to claim sensational figures of 5-39 in his comeback Test.
New Zealand folded up for just 113 to concede a 27-run lead to the hosts.
