Cristiano Ronaldo and his famous ‘Siuu’ celebration often become the centre of attention. Kieron Pollard made it talked-about yet again on Sunday when Trinbago Knight Riders were up against Jamaica Kingsmen in Match 8 of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026 at Sabina Park, Kingston.
Recently, Pollard was in England, where he was working as the head coach of MI London for The Hundred Men 2026. In fact, his arrival for CPL 2026 was delayed due to his commitments in England.
Kieron Pollard Celebrates Carty’s Wicket By Hitting 'Siuu'
Pollard was finally in action in the CPL 2026 on Sunday. He took the ball in hand for the first time during the 14th over of Jamaica’s innings.
And he struck straightaway within his first four balls, dismissing Keacy Carty for a 14-ball 11 after Colin Munro took a catch at deep backward square leg.
Immediately, Pollard brought his inner Cristiano Ronaldo by hitting a 'Siuu' celebration. No wonder it went viral on social media in no time.

It was the only over Pollard bowled on Sunday in CPL, and he finished with 1-0-6-1.

The 39-year-old made 44 off 22 balls with the bat, which had four sixes and three fours. Unfortunately, everything went in vain, as Andre Russell-starred Jamaica Kingsmen chased down a challenging 183-run target with eight balls and six wickets to spare.

One of the pioneers of T20s, Kieron Pollard has built a strong portfolio by consistently performing across franchise leagues throughout his illustrious career.
In 126 CPL innings, Pollard has 3236 runs at a strike rate of 152.13, averaging 34.79. He has one century and 16 half-centuries, representing Barbados Tridents and St Lucia Stars before joining TKR.
Besides, Pollard has picked up 63 wickets in CPL at the economy rate of under eight runs per over. He averages 23.46, indicating he has often been a successful one with the ball whenever brought to the attack.
From Stadiums To Streets, ‘Siuu’ Is Everywhere
Ronaldo is one of the biggest global icons in sports. Thus, his influence across the globe in every different sport is very natural.
So, what Pollard did was no surprise, as India’s very own Mohammed Siraj has often done the same for some time now.
Some of the best in Tennis, Nick Kyrgios and Carlos Alcaraz, and Golf’s great Rory McIlroy have already done the ‘Siuu’ celebration in the past.
For those who don’t know, Ronaldo first hit the ‘Siuu’ celebration back in 2013, during a pre-season match between Real Madrid and Chelsea. Back then, José Mourinho, who is currently the head coach of Madrid, was in charge of Chelsea.
