Virat Kohli shares heartfelt post for RCB

The big win and what it means for RCB
RCB Women created history in the WPL 2026 final by chasing a record target of 204 runs, the highest successful chase in an IPL or WPL final, to lift the title for the second time.
The win was powered by a sensational partnership between Smriti Mandhana (87) and Georgia Voll (79), who added 165 runs off 92 deliveries. Radha Yadav then sealed the tense chase with a winning boundary in the final over.
The victory marked a major turnaround for the franchise, which had endured years of heartbreak. From struggling near the bottom of the IPL table since 2008 to becoming reigning champions in the Women’s Premier League, RCB have come a long way.
The men’s team had won the 2025 edition under the captaincy of Rajat Patidar, but the emotional core of that triumph was Virat Kohli, who led the side for nine long years. With new title sponsors ‘Nothing’, Kohli’s RCB now truly look like a franchise that defines championship success.
