The 32-year-old checked in at the CoE for his workload management. The visit was planned by BCCI, who are working on Bumrah's availability for England series after IPL 2026. Also, the right-arm seamer will join the MI camp soon.

Why Are BCCI Concerned For Jasprit Bumrah's Fitness?

For the unversed, India will travel to England for five T20Is and three ODIs in July. Now, Bumrah has been playing consistently since T20 World Cup 2026. The right-arm seamer shone for India in the recently concluded tournament, where he bagged 14 wickets and emerged as the joint-leading wicket-taker.

T20 World Cup was a month long tournament and the right-arm seamer will now feature for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2026 that will run for two more months. Therefore, the board is concerned because the MI star will have three months of constant game time that will impact his workload.

The BCCI wants to make sure that Jasprit Bumrah stays 100% fit for the England series, which is why they scheduled MI star's visit to CoE in Karnataka.

Mumbai Indians Set-Up Training Camp In Mumbai

Mumbai Indians have received a boost with Jasprit Bumrah's availability. The right-arm seamer is yet to join the MI camp. Nonetheless, the five-time winners are sweating hard in Mumbai for the upcoming IPL season.

MI have a strong squad and most importantly, most of their stars - local and overseas have already joined the team. Unlike other franchises, MI are lucky to have all their squad members available for IPL 2026. Therefore, the five-time winners are hopeful of a strong campaign under Hardik Pandya's captaincy.

Shedding light on Jasprit Bumrah, his availability is of utmost importance for MI because he picked up 18 wickets in 12 innings in IPL 2025 despite missing the first four games.
