IPL 2026 playoffs tickets to go on sale
The BCCI has confirmed the dates for tickets sales of the upcoming IPL 2026 playoff fixtures. As per the announcement, the tickets will be available from Wednesday, May 20 onwards, albeit for Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator. The tickets for Qualifier 2 and the Final will go live on Friday, May 22.

The BCCI also named District by Zomato as their official ticketing agency. Fans can either purchase the tickets from the platform’s application, or from the official IPL website.
LPL 2026 schedule unveiled by SLC
Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has unveiled the entire schedule of the upcoming LPL 2026 season. Set to make its return after a gap of two years, the upcoming sixth edition of the tournament will be played between July 17 and August 8. As many as 24 matches will be played between five franchises across four different Sri Lankan venues.
The opening match will be played between Jaffna Kings and Galle Gallants in Colombo.
Sandeep Lamichhane scripts huge ODI World record
Nepal spinner Sandeep Lamichhane decimated Scotland in Kirtipur in their ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 match. The cricketer picked up impressive match-winning figures of 3-47 in his 10 overs.
Through the course of his spell, Lamichhane also completed 150 ODI wickets, thus becoming the fastest cricketer in the history of the format to do so. He reached the landmark figure in just 73 games to surpass Mitchell Starc.
Mushfiqur Rahim scales huge Bangladesh Test record
Mushfiqur Rahim anchored Bangladesh’s second innings on Day 3 of their series-deciding second Test against Pakistan in Sylhet. The legendary wicketkeeper-batter composed 137 runs from 233 balls with 12 boundaries and a six as the hosts set Pakistan a formidable target of 437 with two days remaining.
The innings also marked Rahim’s 14th Test century, thus surpassing Mominul Haque to become Bangladesh’s leading century maker in Test history.
India vs Sri Lanka Test series to be played in August
Team India is set to tour Sri Lanka to play a two-match Test series. As per reports, the series will be played between August 15 and 27. However, the exact dates for the two matches are yet to be finalized by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC). The tour might also include a three-match T20I series.
The Tests will be a part of the 2025-27 WTC cycle, and will be played shortly after the conclusion of the LPL 2026 season.
