One player who has been in the headlines of IPL 2026 is Rajasthan Royals’ batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. Match after match, the 15-year-old has stunned fans and opponents with his fearless batting style.

Once again, he played a remarkable innings in a high-pressure Eliminator clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 27.

Sooryavanshi played one of the most destructive knocks ever seen in IPL history. The youngster smashed 97 runs off just 29 balls at an unbelievable strike rate of 334.48 and almost registered the fastest century in the history of the tournament.

He eventually fell just three runs short, while Chris Gayle's 30-ball hundred still remains the all-time IPL record.

With bowlers struggling badly against him, cricket experts have started discussing ways to stop the teenage sensation. One cricket board humorously joined the conversation after his latest knock.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi tops the Orange cap chart in IPL 2026

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has also continued to dominate the Orange Cap race in IPL 2026. In 15 matches this season so far, the RR batter has scored 680 runs at an average of 45.33 at a stunning strike rate of 242.85.

He has scored one century and four half-centuries this season, while smashing 55 fours and an unbelievable 65 sixes.

Gujarat Titans batter B Sai Sudharsan is currently second in the Orange Cap standings with 652 runs from 15 matches at an average of 46.57 and a strike rate of 157.86.

Heinrich Klaasen has scored 624 runs in 15 matches at an average of 48.00, while Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill has made 618 runs in 14 games.

Cricket Board claims it has found the formula to dismiss Vaibhav Sooryavanshi

Known for its witty social media posts, Iceland Cricket jokingly claimed it had finally found a solution to dismiss Sooryavanshi.

The board wrote, "We know how to stop Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and our lava-bedded wickets are the way to do it." The post quickly went viral on the social media in no time.

Iceland's comment was based on the country's unique volcanic and rocky geographical landscape, suggesting that only such unpredictable surfaces could stop the youngster from attacking bowlers.

This is not the first time Iceland Cricket has reacted to Sooryavanshi's unbelievable performances. Earlier in the tournament, when he smashed a stunning 36-ball century against Sunrisers Hyderabad, several jokes flooded social media.

Several comments went viral that suggested that Sooryavanshi's bat might contain an "AI chip".

Iceland Cricket immediately joined the fun and sarcastically asked where they could get such AI chips.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi - 'The new six-hitting King'

One thing that stands out in Sooryavanshi's batting style is his extraordinary six-hitting ability. He now has a tally of 65 sixes, the highest ever in a single IPL season. The young player has surpassed Chris Gayle's iconic 59 sixes for RCB in 2012.

Gayle had scored 733 runs that season with a strike rate of 160.74, but Sooryavanshi has gone far beyond that level of attacking cricket with a strike rate touching nearly 243.
