On Monday, the ICC unvield their T20 World Cup 2026 team of the tournament. It has been brilliant 30 days of non-stop cricketing action. 20 teams locked horns in intense games and eventually India outplayed everyone to clinch their third T20 World Cup title.
Talking about the world champions, then four players made the cut in ICC's team of the tournament. Sanju Samson is the obvious choice as the right-handed batter won the player of the tournament award for his 321-run campaign in just five innings.

Top- Order (Sanju Samson, Sahibzada Farhan, Ishan Kishan)
The ICC picked Sanju Samson and Pakistan's Sahibzada Farhan as the opening pair. Samson was India's leading run-getter with 321 runs, while the Pakistani counterpart ended the World Cup as leading run-getter in the edition.
Farhan scored 381 runs in seven innings, which included two centuries. Further, Ishan Kishan is placed at No.3 for scoring 317 runs in nine innings.
Middle-Order (Aiden Markram (C), Hardik Pandya, Will Jacks, Jason Holder)
The Jay Shah-led board has picked Aiden Markram as the team's captain. The right-handed batter took his team to the semi-final and was also on song with the bat. Markram amassed 286 runs in eight innings, averaging 47.67.
World Cup winner Hardik Pandya's inclusion is also a no-brainer as the star all-rounder has been clutch in the entire tournament. The 32-year-old scored 217 runs in nine innings and also picked up 9 wickets in nine innings.
Will Jacks has also made it to the cut, making him the only English batter in the list. The right-handed batter single-handedly took his team to the semis as he won four player of the match awards in the process. Jacks scored 226 runs in eight innings and took nine wickets in seven innings.
Jason Holder is the only West Indies star to make the list and rightly so. The right-handed batter scored 141 runs in 5 innings and picked up whooping 10 wickets in just seven innings.
Bowlers (Jasprit Bumrah, Lungi Ngidi, Adil Rashid, Blessing Muzarabani)
Jasprit Bumrah has been named as the lead bowler for his 14 wicket tournament. The right-arm seamer picked up four wickets in the final and ended up as this edition's joint-leading wicket-taker. Further, Lungi Ngidi also did well for the Proteas and took 12 wickets in seven innings.

Adil Rashid is the only spinner in the list and has been prioritised over Varun Chakaravarthy despite taking a wicket less than the India spinner. Notably, Rashid took 13 scalps in the tournament.
Zimbabwe's Blessing Muzarabani is on the list for 13 wickets in six innings, while USA's Shadley Van Schalkwyk has been named as the 12th team.
