The entire nation is buzzing with celebrations as India lifted their third T20 World Cup title on Sunday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The Men in Blue defended their silverware against New Zealand and brought joy to 1.4 billion Indians.
The entire Narendra Modi Stadium was vibrating as a sea of blue made its presence felt at the biggest sporting ground in the world. The win also ended the Ahmedabad curse, and what followed was just pure madness. The fans hailed ICC for a brilliant post-match ceremony, which included fireworks, pyros and a brilliant drone show.
Drone Show Lights Up The Narendra Modi Stadium
As soon as India clinched their third title, ICC put up thousands of drones to assemble a brilliant show to honour India’s run in the recently concluded tournament. The show honoured the Men in Blue and highlighted that the title remains in the country, which happened for the first time in history.
The light show also revealed the next ICC event, which is the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, beginning from June 12 in England and Wales. Overall, the fans loved the show, which was being broadcast live across the globe.
Pakistan media humiliated During Drone Show
One interesting thing occurred during the drone show, which eventually became a talking point in Pakistan. Naturally, the drone show featured the Indian map, and the celebrations were being telecast in Pakistan as well.
One of the fans pointed out that the Pakistani media telecasted the whole event in their country with POK shown as Indian territory. It quickly became a laughing stock on the internet as Pakistan embarrassed itself on the world map.
Notably, India and Pakistan have been at loggerheads for a long time as Pakistan have wrongly claimed a part of Kashmir as theirs. Besides the map issue, the fans were also reminded of the difference in cricket stature at present between two nations.

India are enjoying their best phase in the history of the game, while Pakistan cricket is struggling to survive. The Men in Blue have won three ICC titles in less than two years, while Pakistan's last ICC event came 9 years ago.

Overall, it was a great show at the Narendra Modi Stadium and the fans were impressed by the arrangements. The closing ceremony featured live performances from Falguni Pathak, Sukhbir, and a show from Ricky Martin.
Even after the final, the entire prop, pyro, and the champions pop was praised by the fans who were present at the venue to witness the magnificent final. Above all, the biggest point of happiness for India fans was that the Ahmedabad Curse was broken.
The Men in Blue dealt a heartbreak on November 19, 2023 when they lost to Australia in ODI World Cup final. It followed up with a defeat against the Proteas in 2026 T20 World Cup, which is why the fans were concerned before the final. However, the curse was broken and the memories have been forever etched in the hearts of every cricket fan.
