Australia seem unbeatable when it comes to winning ICC trophies. Whether it is Men's or Women's cricket, they have consistently dominated world cricket for decades and their latest achievement came when the Australian Women won T20 World Cup 2026 by defeating England by 7 wickets in the final at Lord's.
Chasing 151 runs, Australia completed the target in just 17.1 overs, with Sophie Molineux lifting her first ICC trophy as captain.
With this victory, Australia claimed their seventh ICC Women's T20 World Cup title. Which clearly makes them the most dominant team in the tournament's history. India, meanwhile, are still waiting to win their first Women's T20 World Cup.

Notably, Australia are by far the most successful nation in ICC history in both Men’s and Women’s cricket.
They have won 24 senior ICC titles, the most by any country. The journey began on November 8, 1987 when the Australian Men beat England by 7 runs in ICC Men's World Cup final in Kolkata to claim their first ICC trophy.
Since then, Australia have built an incredible legacy across every major ICC tournament.

Australia's Men's team have won 10 ICC trophies, including:
- Six ICC Men's Cricket World Cups (1987, 1999, 2003, 2007, 2015 and 2023)

How Many ICC Titles Has India Won?
It is worth mentioning that India have won nine senior ICC titles across Men's and Women's cricket.
Notably, the Men in Blue won their first ICC trophy in 1983 by defeating West Indies in the World Cup final. They added another ODI World Cup title in 2011.
India also won the inaugural ICC Men's T20 World Cup in 2007 before lifting the trophy again in 2024 and for the third time in 2026 after defeating New Zealand by 96 runs.
In the ICC Champions Trophy, India have been champions three times, joint winners in 2002, outright winners in 2013 and champions again in 2025 after beating New Zealand by 4 wickets in Dubai.
It is worth mentioning that Indian Women created history in November 2025 by winning its first-ever ICC Women's ODI World Cup.
Notably, India defeated the Proteas by 52 runs in the final at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai to claim their maiden ICC title.
