The WPL 2027 mini auction took place on Wednesday evening in Kochi, as the teams eyed to complete their squads following a few releases earlier in September.

The Ashleigh Gardner-led Gujarat Giants Women's side went into the auction room with 3 spots to fill, with one of those being an overseas one, after they let go of the English veteren, Danni Wyatt-Hodge, freeing up 50 lakh in the budget.

The Giants found themselves very active in the early on the evening, looking to wrap things up early. They bought two players in the first session of the auction, after heading in to the auction with the second biggest purse of 1.25 crore INR.
