Glasgow Cosmic have announced the signing of England international opener Jason Roy for the inaugural season of the European T20 Premier League (ETPL), strengthening their squad with one of the most explosive batters in world cricket.

Roy, a key figure in England’s white-ball success over the years, brings vast experience and match-winning ability to the Glasgow-based franchise. Known for his aggressive stroke play at the top of the order, Roy is expected to play a pivotal role in Cosmic campaign.

Roy comes in as a replacement got Finn Allen. The destructive Kiwi opener, who had earlier signed for the team will have to unfortunately sit out of the tournament.

Jason Roy said: “I got very excited when the captain called me to check if I was available, and I was ready. I’m really looking forward to joining Glasgow Cosmic and being part of this exciting journey.”
