Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, the latest Indian sensation in the national cricket team, is currently in Europe and has been practising hard in the nets despite failing to make his debut in the Ireland T20I series.

Sooryavanshi, who earned his maiden call-up for the Ireland and England T20I series tour, has been ever diligent with his ‘ball smashing’ expertise, and ahead of the first T20I against England on June 30, he didn’t look any different.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Explodes In The Nets Ahead Of England T20Is

Earning his maiden call up on the back of his explosive IPL 2026 performance and winning the Orange Cap for most runs in the domestic tournament, Vaibhav’s batting have wooed spectators over the world.

Yet, there is something that is hindering him from getting that green light from the Indian team management.

As Gautam Gambhir’s men take on England for the five-match series, Vaibhav was seen demolishing Indian bowlers in the nets. As CREX representatives filmed him during the practice session, Vaibhav was seen in his usual ‘demolition’ avatar.

Sooryavanshi Dismantles India Pacers In The Nets

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was seen displaying some classic strokes, with the ball soaring into the sky as soon as it connected with the bat. He played some lofty drives and hook shots as well to bamboozle pacers Harshit Rana and Prasidh Krishna in the nets.

IPL 2026 has gone well for the 15-year-old prodigy, and he seemed to be unstoppable in the practice session as well. Hard lengths, short length deliveries and even yorkers were well executed by the Rajasthan Royals' star kid with absolute flawlessness.

Ahead of the Europe tour, Vaibhav represented India A where he managed to bag 211 runs from 5 innings but at a massive strike rate of 200.95. His IPL stats read at 237.31 from 16 matches, which further underlines that he is far from being rusty with the bat.

Will Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Get A Chance To Play England T20Is?

While Vaibhav has been a prodigy for his IPL franchise and the India A team as well, his chances for the England T20Is remain very slim.

Almost every Indian cricket fan expected him to debut in the Ireland T20Is, since the series held less significance than the upcoming one. However, his absence from Ireland now puts even more odds against his debut.

To argue in favour of the BCCI and the Gambhir-led team management, the Indian top order is already heavily crowded

Although Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma haven't been as responsible with the bat as they were in the T20 World Cup 2026, coach Ryan ten Doeschate clearly backed the opening duo for the upcoming England tour in a recent interview.

It is needless to say that Sooryavanshi can do wonders, yet, the management made it clear that everyone has to wait for their turn, and it is not likely that Vaibhav Sooryavanshi will be given a chance at a whim.

The management is looking to back the Samson-Abhishek opening duo, and the prodigy will have to wait a bit longer than expected to set his fireworks on the international stage.
