The board confirmed the exact change on Wednesday, September 23; i.e., roughly a week prior to the scheduled fixture.It is worth noting that the Australia A Women’s team is currently on a multi-format tour of India. While Australia clinched the three-match T20 series by a 3-0 margin against India A Women, the hosts are leading the three-match unofficial ODI series 1-0 after the opening game.India vs Australia match moved from Dharamshala to MohaliThe India A Women vs Australia A Women unofficial Test match will now be hosted by the PCA IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. Notably, the venue is also currently hosting the three-match unofficial ODI series between the two sides. After the scheduling change, the four-day match will now be organized between September 29 and October 2. Why did BCCI change India vs Australia scheduleAs confirmed by the BCCI on their official website, the scheduling change was made owing to wet outfield and prolonged rainfall in Dharamshala.With weather offering favorable weather conditions in Mohali, the board relocated the multi-day fixture to the city. The BCCI wrote “The venue change has been necessitated due to the impact of prolonged rainfall in Dharamshala on the outfield and the prevailing ground conditions.”Australia sweep T20s, India fight back in One-DayersAustralia A Women’s ongoing tour of India forms a part of a larger initiative by the BCCI, which aims to provide India A players with valuable exposure and experience against international opposition while helping them gear up for the demands of senior-level cricket.The visitors, led by Nicole Faltum, swept the three-match T20 series in New Chandigarh earlier this month by a 3-0 margin. The India A Women’s team, under the spirited leadership of international star Yastika Bhatia, fought back in the subsequent One-Day fixtures in Mohali. The hosts won the first match of the series by four wickets as they chased down Australia’s 235 in 41.1 overs. Tejal Hasabnis composed a fighting run-a-ball 81 with five boundaries and six scorching sixes. The two teams are also fighting tooth-and-nail in the second unofficial ODI at the same venue, with hosts mounting 338-6 in 50 overs upfront. Captain Yastika Bhatia led her side from the front with a courageous century, scoring 112 runs off just 84 balls with 16 cracking boundaries and two maximums.At the time of publishing, Australia A Women raced to 118-2 in just 15 overs in their chase.
