After a disappointing whitewash by the hand of Bangladesh in a two-match Test series, the Men In Green are gearing up for another tough challenge, the Australia Tour of Pakistan 2026. 

Led by Shaheen Shah Afridi, the Pakistani team will take on the Aussie contingent in a three-match ODI series as part of their preparation for the 2027 ODI World Cup.  

The tour will also mark Australia’s 18-month journey towards its World Cup defence campaign, which commences on Friday, May 30, with three ODIs against Pakistan in the subcontinent.

Notably, the last time the two nations played a bilateral ODI series, Pakistan defeated Australia 2-1. 

As Australia prepares for the Pakistan series, here’s the schedule, squads, venues, and live-streaming details for the highly anticipated tour. 

Australia Tour Of Pakistan 2026 Schedule, Fixtures, Start Date

Pakistan will host Australia in a three-match ODI series, scheduled for May 30 to June 4. The first ODI will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, followed by two games at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.

Cricket Australia had to make a final call on their fourth-choice captain for the ODI series against Pakistan after Mitchell Marsh became the latest senior player to be ruled out of the tour after suffering an ankle injury in the IPL 2026.

Notably, in the absence of Pat Cummins, Travis Head, and Marsh, Josh Inglis will skipper the Aussies in the upcoming ODI series. 

The keeper-bat incidentally performed the role once before in November 2024, against Pakistan, when a host of first-choice players were absent. 

Apart from that, after a blockbuster IPL 2026 campaign for the Punjab Kings, Cooper Connolly became a last-minute inclusion to the Australian squad. He has replaced Mitchell Marsh in the squad.

On the other hand, the host, Pakistan’s 16-member team, marked the return of several senior names, including Babar Azam, Shadab Khan, Naseem Shah, and Haris Rauf. 

Led by captain Shaheen Shah Afridi, the side also includes three uncapped ODI players, namely Ahmed Daniyal, Arafat Mihnaf, and Rohail Nazir.
