India-born players have often found themselves in the cricketing ranks of multiple foreign countries. Countries like the United States, the UAE, Oman, and several other associate nations have Indian players representing them professionally.
Recently, Australia, known to be one of India's biggest rivals in ICC tournaments and World Cup events, has given opportunities to two India-born players to feature in crucial campaigns for the Australian team.
Jerrssis Wadia earns place in CA XI to play against Bangladesh
The two young Indian cricketers with their roots in the subcontinent, Jerrssis Wadia and Aryan Sharma, have earned their places in Cricket Australia's emerging squads, where players like Sam Konstas and Mahli Beardman have consistently impressed. Wadia and Sharma's inclusion appears to be a reward for their talent.
Wadia, who plays for South Australia, has earned a place in the Cricket Australia XI squad that will take on the Bangladesh men's Test team in a three-day match in Darwin from August 6 to August 8.
Wadia was also a part of the Adelaide Strikers squad during the latest Big Bash League season, and his rapid progression towards the Australian setup has come through Adelaide's Premier Cricket system.
In seven Big Bash League (BBL) matches, Wadia has scored 52 runs at a strike rate of 136.84, with a highest score of 34. With the ball, he has claimed two wickets while maintaining an economy rate of 7.58. He has also impressed in the field, taking five catches in his brief T20 career.

Aryan Sharma named in Men's Development Squad
Aryan Sharma, meanwhile, who plays for Victoria, has been selected in Australia's men's development squad for the MRF Academy program in Chennai.
Previously, Sharma represented Australia at the ICC Under-19 Men's Cricket World Cup and was also a member of the Melbourne Stars squad during the last BBL season.
Sharma will be part of the development squad that will play two two-day matches in Chennai from August 5 to August 6 and August 10 to August 11.
Experienced coaches to lead squads, few talents miss out
Former Australia coach Tim Nielsen will be in charge of the Cricket Australia XI for the Darwin fixture against Bangladesh. Meanwhile, former Australia Test captain Tim Paine and Anthony Clark will oversee the coaching staff of the development squad during the Chennai tour.
This development, however, signals a new dawn for Australian cricket, with players like Joel Davies, Jason Sangha, Sam Konstas, Campbell Thompson, and Josh Philippe featuring in these squads.
Talents like Mahli Beardman, Fergus O'Neill, Callum Vidler, and Oliver Peake have missed out on selection despite their recent impressive performances in Australian domestic cricket.
