After a disappointing tour of England, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has a great chance to make a strong comeback in the upcoming T20I series against Zimbabwe.

Notably, the 15-year-old has already made history by becoming the youngest male cricketer to represent India in international cricket.

Now, he has another opportunity to add more records to his name. Therefore, all eyes will be on the youngster as he looks to make the most of the Zimbabwe challenge. Here are the records that Vaibhav Sooryavanshi can break during the upcoming series.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi can become Youngest T20I Centurion

Although Vaibhav Sooryavanshi had a disappointing tour of England, the upcoming T20I series against Zimbabwe presents a great opportunity for him to bounce back.

Notably, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has already enjoyed plenty of success in Zimbabwe, scoring 439 runs in 7 matches at an outstanding average of 62.71 and a strike rate of 169.49 across age-group cricket. If he scores a century in the three-match series, Sooryavanshi will become the youngest player to score a T20I century.

At just 15 years of age, he would shatter the current record held by France's Gustav McKeon, who was 18 years and 280 days old when he scored a T20I hundred against Switzerland in 2022.

Most Sixes by A Teenager In A T20I Series

Another record Vaibhav Sooryavanshi could achieve during Zimbabwe series is most sixes by a teenager in a T20I series. Notably, Sooryavanshi is known for his fearless batting and love for clearing hitting big sixes. In fact, he often looks to hit a six from the very first ball of his innings.

Although he is yet to produce his best performances in international cricket, Sooryavanshi showed his wonderful hitting ability during IPL 2026.

It is worth mentioning that Vaibhav's aggressive approach in the powerplay troubled even the best bowlers like Jasprit Bumrah, Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc, and he finished the IPL 2026 season with a record-breaking number of sixes.

Notably, in men's T20 cricket, no teenage batter has hit more sixes than Sooryavanshi. If he carries the same thought and form into the IND vs ZIM series, Sooryavanshi could dominate the ZIM bowlers and become the teenager with the most sixes in a T20I series.

Fastest T20I Half-Century by an Indian

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi also has the chance to become fastest Indian to score a T20I fifty during IND vs ZIM series. Notably, the current record is jointly held by KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma, who both reached their fifties in just 14 balls.

Considering Sooryavanshi's attacking approach, he has a good chance of challenging that record if he gets a flying start in the powerplay. The youngster also has fond memories of batting in Zimbabwe, where he hammered a sensational 175 off 80 balls against England in the final of the 2026 ICC U19 World Cup.

For context, the 15-year-old has already shown his power-hitting ability in the IPL. He also holds the record for the fastest List A fifty, reaching the landmark in 11 balls.  If the left-handed batter carries that same form into Zimbabwe series, he could add another milestone record to his growing list of achievements.
