For now, this is Saptak Sanyal signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Abhishek Sharma and Mohammad Anab and the scorer/analyst of this game Ashok Dayma. Good night.
Tomorrow, we have another double-header lined up. In the afternoon game, Central Delhi Kings and New Delhi Tigers will lock horns. In the evening, a cracking contest awaits between West Delhi Lions and North Delhi Strikers. Do join us for both the games.
Purani Dilli-6 have got a thumping victory. Outer Delhi Warriors were going hammer and tongs in the first 5 overs to score 77/2 but in the next 14.1 overs, they could score only 88 before getting bundled out. Warriors got two early wickets but the inexorable onslaughts from Anuj Rawat and Aryan Gaur did not let them come back in the match anymore. Rawat finished scoring 92 and his knock differentiated the teams.
Anuj Rawat (Purani Dilli-6 Captain and POTM): "(On his knock) Very, very satisfied, sir. I'm performing for my team, and doing it on a winning note—what could be better than that?
(On missing out on a ton) No, sir, there isn't really any disappointment. As you said, I'm scoring runs for the team and we're winning, so there couldn't be anything better than that. Of course, I was trying to get to a hundred, but at the end of the day, winning is very important.
(On team's bowling) I think, sir, the way our bowlers performed in the powerplay was very crucial. The comeback we made in the game started from there, and I think that's where the momentum shifted in our favour.
(On Aryan Gaur) Brilliant, sir, brilliant. The way he plays his shots and the communication we have in the middle has been really, really good."
Player of the Match: Anuj Rawat
