10 PM IST and 5:30 PM Local Time: Leicestershire win by 12 runs! They have stolen victory from the jaws of death. How remarkably has this match been pulled back by their bowlers especially Alex Green and Rehan Ahmed in those middle overs. The former bowled some bullets, and the latter just spun a web around every batter that came in.
Yorkshire won the toss and elected to bowl first. They got Rehan Ahmed out cheaply in the first over itself. Post that Nick Kelly stitched two good partnerships. The first one was a 40-run stand with Rishi Patel. After the latter was knocked over for 14, Kelly was joined by Jonathan Tattersall. The pair added 49 for the third wicket. They took the score to 90/2 before a terrible collapse took place.
Hassan Ali and Faheem Ashraf, the two Pakistani signings for Yorkshire bowled really well to reduce the Foxes from 90/2 to 96/6. Kelly was gone for 44 and Jonathan for 29. A certain recovery took place when Ben Cox and Liam Trevaskis added 42 for the 7th wicket. Cox was the aggressor and scored 33*. They pushed the score to 138 before the 7th wicket fell. Eventually the Foxes were restricted to a lowish 147/8. The pick of the bowlers was Hassan Ali for his magnificent 4/18 in 4 overs.
The chase started off in great fashion for the Yorkshire side. Their captain Jonny Bairstow took on the opposition bowlers in the first powerplay quite aggressively. He scored 39 off 21 and pushed the score to 44 in just 4 overs before mistiming one to short fine leg. His opening partner Adam Lyth followed him soon after and the Yorkshire side were 48/2 inside the powerplay.
William Luxton led the recovery with 38 to his name but regularly lost partners at the other end. Despite such a good start, at no point could Yorkshire boss the chase. The middle order was an absolute disaster as James Wharton (2 off 10), Moeen Ali (11 off 15), Matthew Revis (5 off 6) and Dom Bess (9* off 15) derailed the chase completely. This also should be credited to some fantastic middle overs bowling by Alex Green and Rehan Ahmed.

Liam Trevaskis also landed a double blow as he took out AJ Tye and Hassan Ali in consecutive balls to further dent Yorkshire to 124/9. It came down to 23 off 12 and then 17 off 6.
