10:30 PM IST| Coming up next on the LVE Insurance County Championship 2022, Surrey will play their next game at The Kia Oval as they host a winless Somerset. Hampshire on the other hand Hampshire will travel to Canterbury to face a solid Kent side. Until then this is Shashank Soorly signing off along with my fellow commentators Nikhil Kalla, Ovaise Shariff, Saiprasad and our scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. Goodbye and see you all in the next round of fixtures.
10:10 PM IST| ITS ALL OVER HERE AT THE KENNINGTON OVAL. Surrey have their first win of the summer and that too in some emphatic style as they defeat Hampshire by an Innings and 17 runs. Surrey were just too good for the visitors on all three days, Hampshire were never in the game from ball one.

Surrey batters set them up on the first day as they surpassed the 300 run mark by losing just three wickets, thanks to a brilliant ton from Ollie Pope and fifties from South African veteran Hashim Amla and Ryan Patel. Will Jacks stormed his way to 72 and taking the Surrey first innings total to 467. Keith Barker's 4 for 80 and Kyle Abbot's 3 for 92 were the only bright sparks for the visitors in the first innings.

Hampshire's batting never got going in the first innings, they kept losing wickets in heaps and were reeling at 83-5. Surrey lost their West Indian pacer due to an hamstring injury and dealt a mini setback in this match. Ben Brown's valiant 49 helped to add some resistance to Hampshire's innings but then Will Jacks added misery on Hampshire with ball and downed them to 152-7 at stumps on Day 2. Keith Barker's sizzling fifty pushed Hampshire's total over 200 and added 90 runs for the eight wicket with James Fuller but that couldn't help Hampshire to avoid the follow on. Jamie Overton was the star with the ball who got 5 for 54.

Surrey bowlers were on the money again in the second innings as they had Hampshire 2 down at Lunch. Joe Weatherley and James Vince stood up to the Surrey attack and both made a 100 run partnership. Weatherley was gone for 87 by a furious short ball at his body and a stunning catch from Ben Foakes. Taylor and Overton were lethal when bowling together and got rid of James Vince and Felix Organ just before the Tea break. Jordan Clark then cleaned the Hampshire's tail to give Surrey their first win of the season. Jamie Overton was the star for Surrey in bowling as he took 8 wickets in the whole match.
62.5 J Clark to M Abbas
W OUT!!! Clark gets a length delivery that he tries to defend of his front foot but it misses the full face and gets an edge which is caught brilliantly in the 2nd slip. It's a wrap here at Kia, Oval as Hampshire are all out of 227 in the second innings and they lose this game by an innings and 17 runs
62.4 J Clark to B Brown
1 Length delivery that nipped back in a fair bit is and they run a single of his pads.
62.3 J Clark to B Brown
0 Length delivery on his hips and he guides it away towards the leg side but doesn't run.
62.2 J Clark to B Brown
0 Wide on inviting Brown to drive and he drives but doesn't run.
62.1 J Clark to B Brown
0 Brown gets a fuller delivery on his pads which is tucked away towards fine leg and they don't run for it.
