Well! That was some hitting as Essex beat Hampshire by 8 wickets. It's me Dhanush signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshaya alongside our scorer Chandan. Thank you for joining. Good night!
Michael-Kyle Pepper is the Player of the Match
That was a beating from Essex on Hampshire. They never looked threatened by the Hampshire bowling. Buttleman looked good early on and then Rossington looked aggressive. But, it Michael Pepper who looked just unstoppable with his unbeaten 75 of 42 with 9 fours and 4 sixes. He go great support from Matthew Critchley who too joined the party and smashed some boundaries and sixes helping Essex finish off the match with 37 ball remaining.
Overall, this was a one sided affair. Essex outplayed Hampshire with both balls and bat. Nothing positive for Hampshire from as they lose 3 in row and are at the bottom of the points table. Essex on the other hand are back to winning ways and have won their 2nd match in Vitality Blast.
Akshaya: What a way to finish this game!! Michael-Kyle Pepper and Matthew Critchley took the attack to the Hampshire bowlers to demolish the bowlers as Essex thrash them by eight wickets with 6.1 overs remaining!!
