That's it from the comm box, It was a pleasure bringing you the live coverage of this quarterfinal. Join us on Thursday for the coverage of the Semifinals of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021. Till then, bbyee from me, Anurag Dasgupta, along with co-commentators, Kingshuk Kusari, Anurag Singh and Aryasekhar Chakraborty.
Lalit Yadav and Anuj Rawat stood in the middle and took the onus to take the game to the Uttar Pradesh bowling line up. Delhi needed a special knock from their middle order batsmen, but none of the batters cashed in after getting good start and with more than 100 needed in the last 10, the wickets of Anuj Rawat and Lalit Yadav proved to be a game changer as Delhi fell like a pack of cards after that.
The duo added 56 runs for the third wicket and just when they were stitching a big partnership, both of them were dismissed in successive overs to rattle the Delhi team.
Chasing 281 on a good wicket, Delhi got off to a horror start as they lost both Dhruv Shorey and Hiten Dalal inside the first two overs. From there on, it was up to Nitish Rana and Himmat Singh to rescue the sinking ship of Delhi.
The match has ended and in the end Uttar Pradesh have won this quarterfinal convincingly. It has been a sensational team performance by UP and they have thumped Delhi by 46 runs.
48.1 Akshdeep Nath to Simarjeet Singh
W That's it the innings has come to an end and with that Uttar Pradesh have reached the semifinals of the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Length ball that kept low, Singh tries to slog that one on the leg side, but gets completely beaten by the pace and the ball skids through and hits the stumps. You miss, I hit by Akshdeep Nath.
