That's a wrap on Match 26 of TNPL 2023. We will be back with more TNPL action tomorrow and for all other cricketing actions across the globe and formats, stay tuned to our network. For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Arijit Kundu alongside scorer/analyst ParasYadav. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Baba Indrajith (Dindigul Dragons Captain): "It was really an important match. Cannot take things lightly by saying we have qualified. If you end in the Top 2, there will be momentum and also a little extra cushion.
At the beginning of the tournament, everyone said the bowling attack is good. Youngsters in the batting order have stepped up and we have seen a different player come up in each match.
We wanted to take some time inside the powerplay. If they bowled poor deliveries, the boundaries could still come. If you look at my batting, I went for lofted shots only in the last 2-3 overs."
Abhishek Tanwar (Salem Spartans): "I though we were 20 runs short. The wind factor played a part. I think 180 was the par score on this wicket. 100 per cent - Yes the breeze was stronger today than the other days and the wicket was good so it played a big role. (Reflection on the season) I feel our batting order was not settled and we couldn't win too many games. But we got it correct in the last few matches and will stick to the same next year. We have a lot of youngsters too so I'm sure they will come up and gel well. If you look at the positives- Sunny Sandhu, Sachin Rathi, and Selva are up there."
