2:40 PM IST:  It was a short game but highly entertaining, with lots of wickets and runs. Derbyshire Falcons have held their nerves and crossed the line with ease. That's it from us today, I am Ovasie Shariff signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshay Bhide and scorer analyst Paras Yadav. Join us tomorrow for the next set of Vitality t20 Blast matches. Until then, It's goodbye and good night!!

2:30 AM IST | Ovaise: Derbyshire have won the match with 9 wickets (DLS Method).

Right then, let's have a recap. Derbyshire won the toss and opted to chase first, the toss was delayed by 2 hours and the match was reduced to 8 overs aside. Yorkshire got off to a disastrous start losing Adam Lyth and Shadab Khan very early. Dawid Malan and David Willey got together and stitched up a brilliant partnership and took Yorkshire past the 50 runs mark, Malan was the star with the bat in hand, Willey tried hard but couldn’t score as many runs as he would have thought of before getting out in the middle to bat. Yorkshire ended with 83 in the allotted 8 overs.

Shan Masood walked out to open the batting along with Luis Reece, the latter was dismissed due to a mix up in the middle!! Wayne Madsen joined Shan Masood and the pair together very solid out in the middle and matched each other shot for shot. Yorkshire bowlers were all over the pace and didn’t execute their plans well. Shadab Khan was got into the attack very late, when Yorkshire required only 14 of the 12, he was not successful in getting the breakthrough but bowled a magnificent over and kept the run-scoring down. 8 runs were required of the last over and Wayne Madsen finishes the match in style, by hitting a six off a reverse sweep and taking a single of the next delivery, 1 run was required of the last  4 deliveries and Shan Masood hit the winning runs and full credit to the Falcons who were in full control of this game right from ball 1 when Hayden Kerr picked Lyth on the first delivery of the match.

7.3 A Rashid to S Masood
1 FOUR!!! That's the end of the game. Tossed up googly from Rashid around off, Masood makes room and tries to lift it over covers but gets an outside edge past the short third man fielder for a boundary. With this, the Derbyshire Falcons beat the Yorkshire Vikings by nine wickets with three balls to spare.
7.2 A Rashid to W Madsen
1 A wrong'un on the stumps, Madsen flicks it towards short fine leg and the batters steal a quick run.
7.1 A Rashid to W Madsen
6 SIXXX!!! What a sensational shot this is from Madsen. This should be the game for the Falcons. A flighted leg break from Rashid on the stumps, Madsen is quick to change his stance as he switch hits it over the point region and it sails into the stands. Just two required now from five balls.
Akshay: The Falcons require just eight runs from the final over. This is their game to lose. Adil Rashid to bowl the last over.

1 Turning away outside off, Madsen cuts it hard and the point fielder dives to his right to get a hand to it. Single taken.
6.6 S Khan to W Madsen
WD Quicker delivery just outside the tramline in the off side and Madsen leaves it alone. Wide signaled by the umpire.
