That’s all from the first semifinal of Mumbai T20 2026. Arcs Andheri have sealed their spot in the grand finale. It's time to conclude this coverage. For now, it’s me, Deepak Prakash, signing off on behalf of my colleagues, Saptak Sanyal and Ashok Dayma. CHEERS!
Shivam Dube (POTM & Arcs Andheri Captain): "[How pleased were you with bowlers?] I think it was an amazing comeback from our team, and we didn't expect to restrict them to 150.

[On chasing 150] These kinds of totals can be very tricky, and I knew someone had to stay till the end and finish the game. I trust all 11 players, and every one of them is a match-winner, not just Shivam.

[On final match] The final is the day after tomorrow, and we're not thinking about it right now. We're going to recover first and then start thinking about the final tomorrow."
Player of the Match: Shivam Dube
Time for the post-match presentations.
Sarfaraz Khan (Aakash Tigers MWS Captain): "(Do you think the runs were not enough?) Yes I think we got a good start but we could've rotated the singles and doubles. We lost a few wickets in the middle overs.

(You were playing at 200 strike rate. How disappointed you were with your dismissal?) Yes my intent was to post runs in the first 6 overs. After that the pitch becomes slow. I was dismissed in a delivery that broke. Our lower order players were good but they unfortunately could not do well today.

(Was there a hope of victory before Shivam Dube's arrival in the crease?) Yes of course. But we dropped a catch, one catch fell short and these keep on happening in cricket. If those chances were converted, the story would've been different.

(How proud of the boys are you?) They played good cricket barring today. We scored 200, we took games till the last ball. We will try to learn from it and come back stronger next year."
5:31 PM IST, Local Time: Arcs Andheri storm into the grand finale of the Mumbai T20 2026 in emphatic fashion. They outclassed Aakash Tigers Mumbai by five wickets, sealing the chase with nine balls to spare to book their place in the title clash.

Earlier, after opting to bat first, Aakash Tigers posted 150/7 in their allotted 20 overs, thanks largely to the solid start provided by their top order and a useful late flourish from the lower middle order. Captain Sarfaraz Khan led from the front with a brisk 34 off 17 balls, striking six fours and a six, while Jay Gokul Bista anchored the innings with a steady 35 off 33 deliveries. The pair added 56 runs for the opening wicket.

However, Arcs Andheri fought back admirably after the dismissals of Sarfaraz and Bista. Regular wickets halted the scoring rate, with the Tigers slipping from 91/2 to 118/7, courtesy of disciplined bowling. Ashutosh Ghagre was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2/21, while Arjun Tendulkar, Ajay Mishra, Musheer Khan, Prasoon Singh and skipper Shivam Dube chipped in with a wicket each.

Just when the innings seemed to be petering out, Vinayak Bhoir and Sourabh Singh stitched together an unbeaten 32-run stand for the eighth wicket. Bhoir struck an enterprising 18 off 12 balls, while Sourabh remained unbeaten on 12, helping Aakash Tigers recover from a precarious position and finish with a respectable total of 150/7.

In reply, despite losing Musheer Khan for a duck in the opening over, Divyaansh Saxena counterattacked brilliantly with a 16-ball 34, smashing six fours and a six, but lost a couple of wickets in quick succession and slipped to 55/3 in the Powerplay.

Prasad Pawar and Pragnesh Kanpillewar then steadied the innings with a crucial 40-run stand for the fourth wicket, taking the score to 91 before Aakash Tigers struck twice in quick succession to leave Arcs wobbling at 92/5. However, skipper Shivam Dube held his nerve and produced a match-winning unbeaten 45 off just 26 balls, peppered with five sixes. He found good support from Gaurav Jathar, who remained unbeaten on 11, as the duo stitched together an unbroken 59-run partnership to guide Arcs Andheri home in 18.3 overs.

For Aakash Tigers, Shams Mulani and Ajit Yadav claimed two wickets apiece, while Shashank Attarde picked up one wicket. However, the bowlers could not stop Dube's late assault as Arcs completed a comfortable chase to storm into the grand finale.

Stay tuned for the post-match presentation.....

4 FOUR! That's it! Arcs Andheri have become the first team to qualify for the grand finale of the Mumbai T20 2026! Ankur switches over the wicket. Good length delivery around off stump. Gaurav presents full face of the bat and plays a lofted straight drive. A couple of bounces inside and goes to the long-off fence. Aakash Tigers MWS' season comes to an end here. Arcs will come again on Saturday for the summit clash.
